During her lifetime, a mother gifted her daughter and her son-in-law $400,000 for the purchase of a home. Nearly ten years later and after the mother’s death, a sibling challenged that very gift and alleged our client committed financial elder abuse and sought a $1.2M judgment. We won at trial with a full defense.
