Our granddaughter client had a remarkable and unique relationship with her grandmother. The grandmother had made the granddaughter the sole beneficiary of her trust. The grandmother’s children were already receiving an inheritance from their father, the grandmother’s deceased husband. However, well on hospice and days before her death, a volatile and verbally abusive son was able to take his mother to the bank and have himself added on to her accounts and take the accounts out of the trust.
