Kate Halligan is an Associate Attorney at Fox Law, where her practice focuses on trust and estate litigation. She has been practicing law continuously in California since 2020, bringing focused experience in both contested and uncontested trust and estate matters.

Kate's work in contested matters has encompassed the administration of trusts and estates, conservatorship and guardianship cases, and physical and financial elder abuse, including elder abuse restraining orders. In addition to contested matters, her practice includes probate, estate planning, and conservatorship and guardianship proceedings. Through her practice, she has developed substantial experience in court appearances, motion and discovery practice, legal writing and research, and client management.

She received her B.A. from St. Lawrence University and her J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2018, and began her legal career in Vermont with Facey, Goss & McPhee.

Outside of her legal work, she is an avid trail runner, cross-country skier, and biathlete, and has served in multiple board positions related to these pursuits.
